Rep. Massie Requests Access to Epstein Files the DOJ Improperly Withheld and Redacted

On Friday, January 30, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the Department of Justice's (DOJ) release of millions of pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. If you are reading these files now, it is because I am in Congress and fighting. I'm not taking all the credit though. At least as much goes to Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC).

Too many documents are still being withheld or redacted, but I am determined to get to those. In fact, I sent a letter to the Department of Justice to formally request access to unredacted documents, and I went to the DOJ to view many of these files. We will know if the Epstein Files Transparency Act has been successful when rich men are being perp walked in handcuffs to the jail. Until then, this is still a coverup.

What the January release shows is that the Epstein Files were not a hoax. I cannot be bullied. I am not done. This is why those in power are doing everything in their power to defeat me.

Rep. Massie Speaks at Kentuckians for Better Transportation's 48th Annual Transportation Conference

Recently, I joined members of Kentuckians for Better Transportation (KBT) at the organization’s 48th Annual Transportation Conference in Louisville. KBT is a statewide association dedicated to improving and advocating for the Commonwealth’s transportation system. The organization boasts over 300 members representing all modes of transportation, including aviation, rail, public transit, roadways, and dams and river industries.

I was honored to address the crowd and provide an update on developments in Washington, particularly my work on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Because my district includes the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and a portion of the Ohio River, much of the legislation that comes before the Committee directly affects my constituents and the local economy. This year, we will vote on the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), which authorizes the Army Corps of Engineers to carry out water infrastructure projects, including improvements to dams along the Ohio River. The Committee is also working on Surface Transportation Reauthorization, which will reauthorize, revise, and establish transportation programs and activities, including those supported by the Highway Trust Fund. In addition, the Committee must focus on issues related to the Federal Aviation Administration. It is long past time that we prioritize the modernization of our air traffic control systems.

Lastly, I spoke about an issue specific to airports. Many of Kentucky’s airports are in need of updates and improvements. Rather than relying on federal grants to subsidize costly construction, the passenger facility charge is a better way to generate funds and offset revenue shortfalls. Money collected through the passenger facility charge does not go into the federal government’s coffers—it goes directly from the user to the airport. This user fee has remained at $4.50 for almost three decades and has lost significant value due to inflation. By increasing the cap on the passenger facility charge, airports could generate substantially more revenue for improvements while being less reliant on federal grants and subsidies.

Rep. Massie Joins Amicus Brief in Support of President Trump's Birthright Citizenship Executive Order

I signed a brief to the Supreme Court in support of President Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship. Giving children of illegal aliens automatic American citizenship incentivizes unlawful immigration. To protect our national sovereignty, this practice must end. Read the brief here.

I am also a cosponsor of Rep. Brian Babin's (R-TX) HR 569, the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2025. This bill closes a loophole that incentivizes illegal aliens to break our laws. Under its provisions, children of illegal aliens would not qualify for 14th Amendment birthright citizenship.

The looming Orwellian automobile kill switch deadline threatens civil liberties. When your car shuts down because it doesn't approve of your driving, how will you appeal your roadside conviction?

I offered an amendment with Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) and Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) to defund this federal mandate. Unfortunately, our amendment did not pass. 57 Republicans joined 211 Democrats to defeat it.

Rep. Massie Offers Amendment to Support President Trump's Effort to Combat Welfare Fraud

After rampant fraud was uncovered at daycare centers in Minnesota and elsewhere, a judge blocked President Trump’s effort to put guardrails on those programs.

I offered an amendment to circumvent the judge’s ruling and empower the President to withhold fraudulent funds.

Venezuela War Powers Resolution

My loyalty is to the Constitution, not any party. Article I gives Congress the power to declare war and control the purse. The executive cannot use military force or seize/spend Venezuelan assets without congressional approval.

If our country wants war, Congress must vote.
