Friend,
I invite you to read this October newsletter to learn about several issues I am working on for Kentuckians.
For the first time in two years, Bluegrass Honor Flights to Washington, D.C. have resumed. It was my privilege to meet Kentucky veterans of our nation's wars at the World War II memorial to express gratitude for their service and sacrifice.
Following Attorney General Merrick Garland's appearance this month before the House Judiciary Committee, Laura Ingraham invited me onto her FOX News show to discuss his testimony. I had questioned the Attorney General about whether federal agents or assets were present among the crowd on January 6th, and he refused to answer. The Attorney General absolutely can and should answer these important questions.
While the Attorney General was before the committee, I also asked him about whether the Department of Justice has granted any requests for religious exemptions from the COVID vaccine mandate. The Attorney General said he didn't know. I believe that telling people they can apply for religious exemptions only to deny all of their requests is fraud.
House Judiciary Committee Republicans launched an investigation into the National School Boards Association (NSBA) this month demanding that they provide all documents and communications between the NSBA, the Biden White House, and the Department of Justice (DOJ). We are concerned that the DOJ relied on a letter from the NSBA to justify using "the heavy hand of law enforcement to target concerned parents at local school board meetings and chill their protected First Amendment activity." I am a signatory to the Republican letter that launched the investigation, which you may read here.
Gun-grabbers in the House Judiciary Committee are trying to pass "Red Flag Laws" to deprive people of their Second Amendment rights. Among the gun-grabbers' ridiculous claims is that they "have never heard of an instance in which a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a gun." I made sure to offer them several examples of exactly that so the gun-grabbers couldn't plead ignorance anymore.
People are feeling the crunch as Biden's spending policies create inflation. I joined Charles Payne on FOX Business this month to discuss how Biden's spending is bringing us closer to a socialist country.
