I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and I wish you health and prosperity in the new year. I invite you to read this newsletter to learn about several issues I am working on for Kentuckians. If you're short on time, here's a top line summary of some of my activities in December:
Appeared on the Fox Business television show "Kennedy" to talk about the importance of ending the military's COVID vaccine mandate.
Proposed changing the House rules to give Congress more time to read bills before voting on them.
Spoke out in the House Judiciary Committee against a gun control bill that makes it a crime to transfer a firearm to a family member.
Voted NO on the Omnibus appropriations legislation.
Joined Rep. Tim Burchett on his podcast "Tennessee Talks with Tim Burchett" to discuss what really happens behind the curtains in "The Swamp."

Rep. Massie on "Kennedy": "We Should End All the COVID Vaccine Mandates"
In 2021, I drafted and introduced H.R. 3860, a bill to prohibit any requirement that a member of the Armed Forces receive a COVID-19 vaccination. I worked for 18 months to end Biden’s unscientific and unethical military COVID vaccine mandate, and thanks to your phone calls and letters, H.R. 3860 garnered 93 cosponsors. Repeal of the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate became a reality with the signing of the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Now let’s end the other COVID-19 mandates and reinstate everyone who was wrongly pushed out of the military.
Rep. Massie Proposes House Rules Change to Strengthen
the "72-hour rule"
I have proposed a House rules change that would make it harder to waive the "72-hour rule." If adopted, Congress would have more time to read bills before voting on them, the public would have more time to learn about what is in them, and we would produce better legislation.
In December, Democrats offered a bill to allow suicidal individuals to add themselves to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) database. The Democrats didn’t even realize that, with this poorly-written bill, they were creating new crimes for transferring firearms between family members.
When I pointed out the flaw, they tried to cover it up and pass it! Watch the highlights in the above video.
Rep. Massie Does Not Attend "Ukrainian Lobbyist's" Speech
Inviting the leader of a country at war to speak to Congress, the body responsible for deciding if and when the U.S. engages in war, entangles us further in this conflict.
Altogether, the United States has given approximately $100 billion to Ukraine. Let’s put that in perspective: that’s more than $200 million this year from each congressional district. What could your congressman have done for your district with $200 million? How long will the kids in your district be paying interest on this debt?
