Friends,
I invite you to read this newsletter to learn about several issues I am working on for Kentuckians. If you're short on time, here's a top line summary of some of my activities in October:
Here are the in-depth articles:

Massie Speaks at Northern Kentucky Right to Life's 49th Annual "Celebration for Life" Event
|
I was honored to speak at the Northern Kentucky Right to Life's (NKRTL) 49th Annual “Celebration for Life” in Erlanger, Kentucky in October. It was encouraging to be among so many Kentuckians working together to protect the right to life.
This was a special afternoon, as it was NKRTL’s first Celebration for Life since the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case ruling, in which the Supreme Court held that the Constitution of the United States does not confer a right to abortion and that decisions concerning abortion law now go back to the states. But being pro-life means more than just being anti-abortion, and I spoke about a few pro-life topics that are of importance to me.
Kentucky State Representative Savannah Maddox is a strong advocate in the pro-life fight to outlaw gender reassignment surgery for children. Allowing children to undergo these horrific surgeries before their brains are even fully developed is not only immoral but also child abuse.
I consider my stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict to be pro-life. There have been 17 votes in Congress that have exacerbated, extended, or funded the war in Ukraine, and I have voted against every one of them. There are tens of thousands of people needlessly dying on both sides of this fight, and we are throwing fuel on that fire. The most common argument I’ve heard in Washington is that we are assisting Ukraine in “grinding down Russia” so our own troops don’t have to join in. Ukrainian lives are being destroyed in an attempt to “grind down” their opponent, and American tax dollars are paying for this. It is not pro-life to encourage death and perpetuate needless wars.
Lastly, a pro-life topic that I have been very vocal about for the past two years is the unethical COVID-19 vaccine mandates. We are all aware by now of the false promises made by the CDC and the pharmaceutical companies regarding the effectiveness of the vaccines, yet many American citizens, including our armed forces, are still subject to pointless vaccine mandates. This has gone on far too long, but the tide is turning. Attorney Chris Wiest, who was present at the Celebration for Life, scored a recent win for Air Force, Space Force, and Air National Guard personnel whose requests for religious exemptions to the COVID vaccine mandate were denied. Wiest also leads our legal challenge to Speaker Pelosi's unconstitutional House mask mandate.
Thank you to Fred Summe and Northern Kentucky Right to Life for inviting me to the celebration. I also want to thank guest speaker Angela Minter, President of Sisters for Life Organization, and others in attendance, including Marcus Mecum, Art Kunath, State Representative Joe Fischer, Gex Williams, and David Walsh of The Walsh Family Foundation.

Massie Seeks Accountability for Harm Done by COVID Vaccines
|
For well over two years now, the fear of COVID has given governments an excuse to enact mandates that have closed businesses, denied people their rights to travel and worship, kept children out of school during their most crucial developmental years, and forced millions to take medical treatments they didn’t want or need, all in the name of public health and safety. But what happens when the measures promised to make us safer actually harm us?
Kentucky State Representative Savannah Maddox and I were invited to participate in the Kentucky Truth Summit in Pendleton. The Kentucky Truth Summit is the product of an alliance of doctors and scientists committed to revealing truth, uniting people, and demanding accountability for harm done by COVID vaccines. Savannah and I sat on a panel along with Nikki Holland, Maddie de Garay, Ernest Ramirez, and Julie Moore, who have suffered immeasurably due to COVID vaccines and wanted to share their stories.
What I heard from the panelists, one of whom is a child, was astounding. They told of life flights, hundreds of days spent in hospitals, continuing neurologic problems, inability to eat, sleep, or walk, excruciating pain, and even death. We also heard of their silencing, being left with unanswered questions, being shut down by social media for spreading “misinformation,” and the reluctance of some medical professionals to consider the cause of their injuries.
These are not people who were looking to make money or make trouble. These are people who thought they were doing their part to stop the spread of COVID. Maddie de Garay actually volunteered to be vaccinated in a trial for 12 to 15-year-old children. Now she is lucky to be alive. Ernest Ramirez’s 16-year-old son Ernesto was not so lucky. Ernesto died five days after receiving the Pfizer vaccine. Mr. Ramirez says he was then contacted by FEMA who offered to pay for his son’s burial if he would claim that Ernesto had died of COVID. Julie Moore’s husband was denied a hospital stay because he was not vaccinated. Once he was finally admitted to hospital, his condition had worsened so badly that he died.
I have been very vocal in Congress about the need to end the overreaching vaccine mandates. I have also said multiple times since President Biden declared the pandemic to be “over,” that it is time for the federal and state governments to relinquish the special powers they have held since the pandemic started. Lastly, I have called for an end to the PREP Act, the medical malpractice martial law that prevents people like my fellow panelists from holding pharmaceutical companies and medical establishments responsible for the pain and suffering they have caused.
Thank you to all who attended the Kentucky Truth Summit and to all who have spoken out, and continue to speak out, about this very important issue. A special thank you to Martha Pryor and Dr. Molly Rutherford for inviting me to participate and for giving a platform to those who refuse to be silenced.

Massie Appears on the Glenn Beck Radio Program
|
On October 20, Glenn Beck invited me onto his radio program to discuss why the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) should NOT have voted to add the COVID-19 vaccine to the childhood immunization schedule.
We also discussed the importance of considering the annual spending bills under separate votes. As I told Glenn, if Republican majorities introduce an omnibus bill, the fix is in.
If you would like to listen in on our conversation, it begins around 17 minutes and 35 seconds into the linked audio clip

Massie Discusses Economic Growth Opportunities in Raceland
|
I took the opportunity in October to meet with officials from the City of Raceland, Kentucky to discuss upcoming projects and economic growth opportunities. Raceland Mayor Eddie Cumpton, City Manager/Mayor Pro-Tem Dustin Burchett, City Clerk Suzie Felty Gibeaut, Police Chief Don Sammons, City Councilman Bill Bare, Greenup County Property Valuation Administrator Bobby Hall, Ashland Alliance President Tim Gibbs, Dan Howell of Bonzo Properties LLC, and Fivco Area Developmental District Water/Wastewater & GIS Planner Eric Patton attended the meeting.
As the name suggests, Raceland has a history in horse racing. The Raceland horse track was built by Mr. Keene in the 1920’s to host summer meets and derbies. One hundred years later, Raceland has a revitalization effort underway. I was told about the economic development and infrastructure projects city management has planned, including updating aging infrastructure, expanding high-speed internet access, and broadening water and sewage connection in Raceland’s rural areas.
I was pleased to learn about what is transpiring in Raceland and to discuss with city officials how, as their Representative, I can assist the city’s growth. Thank you to Dustin Burchett for inviting me to take part in this discussion and to the dedicated Raceland officials whom I had the pleasure of meeting. I’m excited to see their ideas and plans come to fruition.

KADA: "Talking All Things EV with U.S. Representative Thomas Massie"
|
A couple of months ago, I confronted Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg with the truth about President Biden's impractical electric vehicle (EV) policies. My exchange with Secretary Buttigieg caught the attention of the Kentucky Automobile Dealers Association (KADA), and they invited me onto a recent episode of "Kentucky Horsepower" to talk "all things EV" with them.
Our power grid is not ready to meet the electricity demand President Biden is seeking to place on it with his electric vehicle mandates. He's relying on "political science" to support these policies, not real science.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi called me a "Dangerous Nuisance"?
|
While we’re having a national discussion about rhetoric and vilification of political opponents, let me remind you that Pelosi herself called me a “dangerous nuisance” on national TV for merely asking for a recorded vote on the biggest spending bill in history.
Her legislation would go on to cause massive inflation which has diminished real wages and diluted the retirement accounts of millions of seniors.
In liberty,
