Federal Reserve Transparency
As Lewis County Judge executive, my primary objective was to find and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in local government.
I plan to continue that mission in Congress by fighting for a full Audit of the Federal Reserve. The American people deserve to know how their money is spent.
Without transparency and full disclosure of the Fed’s monetary policy decisions and operations, our central bank could continue on its unsustainable trajectory which has already cost American taxpayers trillions in bailouts and loans.
Given the financial instability we’ve seen abroad in some Euro-zone countries, it’s time to end the fiscal insanity and hold the Federal Reserve accountable to Congress, citizens of Kentucky, and the American people as a whole.

“Audit the Fed” is here to stay.
The movement to bring greater transparency to the Federal Reserve will be in full force in the new Congress, with Republican lawmakers in both the House and the Senate eager to reintroduce legislation in early 2015 requiring a full “audit” of the central bank.
