Crescent Springs, KY&lt;/strong&gt;- Representative&amp;nbsp;Thomas Massie announces that he will host his annual "Academy Day" event on Saturday, April 18th at the Marriott Cincinnati Airport in Hebron, KY. On "Academy Day" interested students of all ages and their parents have the chance to meet with Service Academy representatives to learn more about the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the Coast Guard Academy, known collectively as the U.S. Service Academies.       <title>Representatives Massie and Pingree Introduce Bipartisan Bill Allowing Interstate Traffic of Raw Milk</title>

Washington, D.C.-&lt;/strong&gt; Representative&amp;nbsp;Thomas Massie (R-KY) announces the introduction of H.R. 7880, the &lt;em&gt;Interstate Milk Freedom Act&lt;/em&gt;. The&amp;nbsp;bill prohibits federal interference with the interstate traffic of unpasteurized milk and milk products that are packaged for direct human consumption. Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-ME) is the co-lead on the legislation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"Executive branch agencies, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), do not and should not have the power to shut down trade between peaceful farmers and willing consumers,"&lt;strong&gt; said&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Rep. Massie&lt;/strong&gt;. "It is Congress's job to legislate. The &lt;em&gt;Interstate Milk Freedom Act&lt;/em&gt; would make it easier for families to buy the milk of their choice by reversing the criminalization of specific dairy farmers."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"So many people across the country want to make sure their food is fresh and local—including fruits, vegetables, and even their milk,"&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;said Rep. Pingree&lt;/strong&gt;. "Raw milk is currently the only food banned for interstate commerce—an onerous regulation that hurts small farmers for selling milk straight from their cows to the consumer."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If two states have legalized the sale of unpasteurized milk, the &lt;em&gt;Interstate Milk Freedom Act&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp;prevents federal departments, agencies, or courts from&amp;nbsp;taking any action to prohibit or restrict the traffic of milk between those two states. Although&amp;nbsp;Congress has never passed a ban on raw milk, the FDA&amp;nbsp;issued a regulation banning&amp;nbsp;the interstate sale of raw milk in capitulation to a lawsuit decided in 1986.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This legislation was introduced as an amendment to the 2018 Farm Bill. It was also introduced as a standalone bill in 2014, 2015, 2019, 2021, and 2024.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp;Original cosponsors of H.R. 7880&amp;nbsp;include Rep.&amp;nbsp;Chellie Pingree (D-ME), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-WI), Rep. &lt;br /&gt;
“NATO is a Cold War relic. We should withdraw from NATO and use that money to defend our own country, not socialist countries,” &lt;strong&gt;said Rep. Thomas Massie&lt;/strong&gt;. “NATO was created to counter the Soviet Union, which collapsed over thirty years ago. Since then, U.S. participation has cost taxpayers trillions of dollars and continues to risk U.S. involvement in foreign wars. Our Constitution did not authorize permanent foreign entanglements, something our Founding Fathers explicitly warned us against. - Concludes that NATO’s original Cold War purpose no longer aligns with current U.S. national security interests.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Finds that European NATO members have adequate economic and military capacity to provide for their own defense.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Prevents use of U.S. taxpayer funds for NATO’s common budgets, including its civil budget, military budget, and the Security Investment Program.&lt;br /&gt;

      <title>Massie Introduces Patent Reform Legislation Restoring  "First to Invent" Protection to Inventors </title>

WASHINGTON, D.C&lt;/strong&gt;.- Representative Thomas Massie announces the&amp;nbsp;introduction of&amp;nbsp;patent reform legislation designed to restore to Americans a&amp;nbsp;patent system "as the Constitution of the United States originally envisioned it." Massie's legislation, HR 5811, the &lt;em&gt;Restoring America's Leadership in Innovation Act of 2025&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp;(RALIA), reverses several harmful changes to patent law that arose from Supreme Court rulings and the enactment of the Leahy-Smith &lt;em&gt;America Invents Act&lt;/em&gt;.&amp;nbsp;Among the significant reforms contained in Massie's legislation is a return to the "first to invent" standard to ensure patent protection for America's inventors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"RALIA&amp;nbsp;restores a patent system as the Constitution of the United States originally envisioned it to Americans," said &lt;strong&gt;Congressman Massie&lt;/strong&gt;. "In Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, the Founding Fathers gave Congress the authority to protect the discoveries of inventors. Specifically, they created a patent system to 'promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries.' Regrettably, Congress's 2011 enactment of the Leahy-Smith &lt;em&gt;America Invents Act&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp;has worked in concert with several Supreme Court decisions to erode this protection's strength and value."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"As the Constitution intends, RALIA restores patent protection to inventors by awarding patents on a 'first to invent' basis rather than the more recently adopted 'first to file' standard," &lt;strong&gt;Congressman Massie &lt;/strong&gt;continued. HR 5302&amp;nbsp;codifies&amp;nbsp;and strengthens the pro-life Mexico City policy first proposed by President Ronald Reagan in 1984.&amp;nbsp;The Mexico City policy bars federal funding&amp;nbsp;from going to international non-governmental organizations that perform or promote abortions.&amp;nbsp;Unfortunately, because the Mexico City policy&amp;nbsp;has not been enshrined into law,&amp;nbsp;its enforcement has varied or lapsed during subsequent presidential administrations.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This bill, originally introduced by Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) in 2007, repeals GFSZA, a law that makes&amp;nbsp;it "unlawful for any individual knowingly to possess a firearm at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe, is a school zone."&amp;nbsp;In 1995, the Supreme Court held the GFSZA unconstitutional, which prompted Congress to amend the bill in 1996. The Supreme Court has not ruled on the constitutionality of the amended act.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;

Washington, D.C&lt;/strong&gt;.- Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Representative Chellie Pingree (D-ME) announce the re-introduction of&amp;nbsp;the PRIME (Processing Revival and Intrastate Meat Exemption) Act to make it easier for small farms and ranches to serve consumers.&amp;nbsp;The PRIME Act (H.R. 4700) would give individual states freedom to permit intrastate distribution of custom-slaughtered meat such as beef, pork, or lamb to consumers, restaurants, hotels, boarding houses, and grocery stores.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“Consumers want to know where their food comes from, what it contains, and how it’s processed. Yet&amp;nbsp;federal inspection requirements make it difficult to purchase food from trusted, local farmers,” said&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Rep. Thomas Massie&lt;/strong&gt;. “It is time to open our markets to give producers the freedom to succeed and consumers the freedom to choose.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp;“Consumers at the grocery store increasingly want quality, locally-grown food, but existing regulations and supply chain vulnerabilities don't make it easy for them to access. In rural states like Maine, farmers often have to drive hundreds of miles just to get their livestock processed.&amp;nbsp;We can and must do more to bolster our local food systems,”&amp;nbsp;&lt;b&gt;said &lt;strong&gt;Rep. &lt;p&gt;Current law exempts custom slaughter of animals from federal inspection regulations, but only if the meat is slaughtered for personal, household, guest, and employee use (21 U.S.C. § 623(a)). This means that in order to sell individual cuts of locally raised meats to consumers, farmers and ranchers must first send their animals to one of a limited number of USDA-inspected slaughterhouses. These USDA-inspected slaughterhouses are sometimes hundreds of miles away from farms and ranches, adding&amp;nbsp;substantial transportation costs and increasing&amp;nbsp;the chances of locally raised meat co-mingling&amp;nbsp;with industrially produced meat. The PRIME Act would expand the current custom exemption and allow small farms, ranches, and slaughterhouses to thrive.&lt;/p&gt;
