U.S. Representative Massie to Speak at Press Conference in Opposition to Marketplace Fairness Act
WASHINGTON – Congressman Thomas Massie will attend a press conference on the growing opposition to the Marketplace Fairness Act, or the “internet tax,” which requires business conducting online sales to file sales tax on behalf of 9,600 jurisdictions nationwide.
Congressman Massie, along with 15 other members of Congress from both parties, recently sent a letter to House leadership opposing H.R. 684, the Marketplace Fairness Act. Read the full text of the letter with signatures here.
Rep. Massie will be joined by members of Congress and industry leaders who recognize that there is nothing fair about the so-called Marketplace Fairness Act and seek to block its implementation.
