U.S. Representative Massie Signs on to Veterans Bill
“This bill would help service men and women who have made substantial personal sacrifices defending our country.”

WASHINGTON – Representative Massie has co-sponsored a bill to allow disabled veterans free flights on military aircraft with available space.

“This bill would help service men and women who have made substantial personal sacrifices defending our country.” said Rep. Massie.

Active duty service members can currently fill empty seats on Department of Defense flights under the Space-A travel program. H.R.164 would expand the passenger pool to include veterans disabled in the line of duty.  The legislation would not require additional spending.

Representative Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) introduced the bill, and it is supported by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Kentucky division of the National Federation of the Blind.
